At dawn, Admiral Yi was told that Japanese fleet was anchoring at Goriryang in Jinhae. He immediately departed and chased traces of Japanese fleet. He could find 13 Japanese ships at Jeokjinpo in Goseong. Japanese couldn’t have time to embark, so they started to fire matchlock from the land. His fleet attacked them by arrow and destroyed all ships. After this battle, his fleet returned to their base on May 9.
